is a binaural soundscape composition recorded in the nature reserve „Nahampoana“ in southern Madagascar in October 2016.
The reserve offers a high and complex biodiversity. Many species are endemic and some are unique in the world. Small settlements lie on the edge of the reserve.
For this composition, 10-hour binaural recordings were made over one night at a specific location. These recordings are natural and have been shortened in duration only for the purpose of publication. They were made with a Soundman OKM II and an improvised do-it-yourself artificial head.
